WASHINGTON, April 11 (Reuters) - U.S. Agriculture Secretary Dan
Glickman said Tuesday USDA will decide ``fairly soon'' on whether
to purchase sugar from U.S. farmers facing loan forfeitures later
this year.
``If we are going to act, we need to take action fairly soon,''
Glickman told Reuters, adding he still needs to meet with some
senators from sugar growing regions and other sugar groups.
``I have to make sure I talk with folks across the spectrum on
this before I make a decision,'' Glickman said.
