Summer is almost over and the harvest season is near.
Recently we met with the Montana-Dakota Beet Growers Association and
agreed on an early harvest startup date. I t will be September
11th. Listed below are the days that the receiving stations
will be open. Operating hours will be set by the agriculturist
and may be different at each station. You may also receive a
harvest schedule if you deliver your beets at Sugar Valley or the
factory yard. Our recent root sample indicates we will harvest
a good crop.

We are presently enrolling sugarbeet growers in the PIK
program. Agriculturists are located at the various scale hoses
signing growers up. If you are interested in this government
program, please set up an appointment with your agriculturist.
September 1 is the deadline for signing up.
We will also have our harvest hotline operational later in
September. The local number is 482-9360. Our toll

number is 1-888-472-9834. The hotline will give growers the
same options as last year, including weather information, station
announcements, and harvest results. |
