| BOZEMAN - Registration is underway for a certification
program in noxious weed management.
Preregistration is required by Dec. 15 for Montana State University's
professional certification program in Noxious Weed Management. The course
will be held Jan. 8-10, 2001 at the Best Western GranTree Inn, 1325 N 7th
Ave, in Bozeman.
Roger Sheley, MSU Extension noxious weed specialist, says MSU is
offering 10 private pesticide applicator recertification credits and six
commercial/governmental pesticide applicator recertification credits for
attending the program.
This is the first part of a two-year program that leads to "Level
I Certification" in noxious weed management. Cost of the program is
$132.95 for registration and a copy of "Biology and Management of
Noxious Rangeland Weeds."
