Sclerotia

Notice: The spherical, dark brown structures which resemble mustard seeds. They are called sclerotia, the survival form of the fungus. Sclerotia may be observed on or in the infected tissue or in the surrounding soil. These structures remain in the soil over winter and are available to cause infection during following years.
